Shared-use path whose useability is severely impaired by ending abruptly at the bottom of a dip, meaning that one must stop to rejoin the road going back uphill behind the camera with all momentum lost. It would be a cheap but massive impro ... [more]

There should be a dedicated cycle /pedestrian path created to link Kingsley and Frodsham so that it is possible to transit safely between the two villages without having to battle cars/lorries and vans etc.

The existing path between the village and KCP should be widened and made into a shared pedestrian/cycle path so that children and parents from the village can safely travel along it separated from cars/lorries and vans that use the 40mph ro ... [more]

Narrow access and gate post loose on National Cycle Route 5

Parts of this track are very rutted and in wet weather almost unnavigable, as part of a long distance Sustrans route it should be in better condition as it is a good traffic-free route from Frodsham to Helsby, Ellesmere Port and Elton.

The track is deeply rutted and potholes needs to be graded to allow better access for cars to Hoverforce and also bikes to the Marshes

The cycle lanes on Long Lane are unsafe to use due to overhanging hedges, lack of use leading to the lanes full of rubbish and the speed of traffic. In line with Sustrans recommendations cyclists should be directed along the quieter nationa ... [more]

Netherton,Frodsham to Helsby High School via A56 has cycle lanes on both sides.and is blocked at start and end of school by parents cars parking on it. Pupils cycling to school are discouraged by the dangers.

Existing Shared User Path is too narrow, needs widening alongside the slip road leaving the A41. Vehicles continue at speed from the sliproad into Hoole Lane. Nothing to help cyclists & pedestrians cross the sliproad & Hoole Lane.

Almost impossible to cross very busy A41. Either install crossing or have cycleway on other side of the road, so allowing safer crossing at the Stamford Bridge traffic lights.

The dual use paths need to be extended across the A41. This applies to the north and south side DUP at this junction of the A51 and A41

Cut back the vegetation and widen the path on both approaches to the underpass to enable safe passing.

Hoole Road is wide here and could handle a cycleway. Good for local business on Charles St, and surrounding area.

This stretch of road is very narrow and cars drive really quickly along here without giving cyclists any room.

Straight and busy road leading to new housing

My map shows a track here; or there is a footpath a little further on. This would be a fantastic route through to Wrexham road, avoiding the main road routes.

In addition to the comment already noted; cars travel too fast. Colour tarmac or space for cycling painted on road here with restrictions - maybe keep it to 30 mph?

The cycle lane comes to an end on lower lache lane for no reason just where it is most needed. The road changes from a fairly straight suburban 30mph road with cycle lanes and wide verges to a twisting country road with high hedges and spee ... [more]

Improve the tow path surface

Keep a cycle crossing option when the junction is rebuilt.

Cars try to bully bikes off the road, even against the priority. Make a cycling space?

Make this a toucan crossing so bikes can legally use it.

The new road surface still doesn't have the cycle lane markings reinstated. Needed more than ever now.

Some method of indicating how a cyclist can safely turn right at these lights. Advanced coloured stop markings, cycle signage? Cycle warning sign?

Hoole bridge is narrow - as mentioned on other pin. Colour the side tarmac to cycle lane width to increase visability and highlight to cars space for cyclist.

Grosvenor bridge is narrow - as mentioned on other pins. Colour the side tarmac to cycle lane width to increase viability and highlight to cars space for cyclist.

What about a cyclepath from Huntington, carried alongside A55 over to Eaton Road, where you can link directly via top of Dukes Drive to Chester Business park?

What about a coloured section around the whole roundabout (and others) for cyclists - different colour raises awareness to motor traffic, cyclists follow around the edge of roundabout but still with clear signals. Works in France

Need a bike lane or pavement usage from Morley Bridge to Mickle Trafford, plugging gap in Cheshire Cycleway.

Path is wide but could be divided into walkers and cyclists.

This road would could do with a cycle lane from Morely lane all the way up to Hoole Roundabout and in to Chester city centre.

Space on rd

A cycle lane could be added along the entire length of Liverpool Road to improve cycle access to the hospital and city.

Reduction of the inbound carriageway on Christleton Road to one lane for inbound motorised traffic ( separated by cones or a solid barrier). The inner lane being given over as a two way cycle and walking path.

An extension of the existing cycle lane on Christleton Road and coning off part of the carriageway with bollards, ( restriction of parking and reduction of road width ) I believe the road is sufficiently wide.

Cyclists do not give space to pedestrians. Alternative route required for one group or the other.

Canal pathway is very overgrown with brambles etc making it hard to stay on the path without going too near the water. Surface of the path all the way to Chester is appalling, rough and potholed, dangerous.

Very busy fast road with no safety measures for cyclists

Busy roundabouts with no cycling lanes/help. Already a friend has been knocked off here.

Grosvenor bridge is dangerously narrow for cycling

1,744 cyclists signed a petition asking for the existing footpath / cycleway to be reinstated. This was presented to CWaC and apart from pricing up the work nothing else has ever happened.

Very fast road but no signal control or protection for cyclists on the crossing, dangerous for both cyclists and pedestrians, on route between Chester and Christleton

Very fast road but no signal control or protection for cyclists on the crossing, dangerous for both cyclists and pedestrians, on route between Chester and Christleton

Lower Lache Lane is unsafe for cyclists. Speeding, high hedges and impatient motorists. Separate cycle/walking lane needs to be installed

This path should be improved to provide a cycle route between River Lane and Mt Pleasant. This would link Chester with Saltney avoiding the A road and dangerous Traffic Lights.

There is a great opportunity to improve the existing right of way to provide a cycle path between Puddington, Shotwick to Green Lane/Deeside,

Neglected pavement between Station Rd and Whitby Rd should be upgraded to SUP. It is very dangerous to cycle on the dual carriageway on this stretch.

Space along side road for cycling walking due to danger on bend of speeding traffic.

Speed limit on this section of Birkenhead Road is 30mph. This is widely disregarded by many vehicles which accelerate rapidly from B5133. Very popular cycling and walking route. Needs traffic calming or speed camera.

Key route to hospital for staff, visitors and patients. Very busy, particularly at start/end of day. Cars often overtake when not safe to do so.

A Safe crossing for pedestrians and cyclists using the Wirral Way and wanting to cross Parkgate Road. A Pelican crossing would be ideal.

Drop the kerb to allow cyclists and wheelchair users to use this route. The kerb was installed to stop cars from using it as a through route but the kerb also inhibits access for vulnerable users.
